ABOUT ME

Chantal is a French-American born and raised in Miami, Florida. She grew up watching American cartoons and anime (Japanese cartoons) and seeing the various art styles and stories flowing out from these culturally-different studios onto her television screen was (and continues to be) an awesome experience for her.

Before working at Powerhouse Animation Studios, Chantal was selected as a mentee for the Women in Animation Mentorship program in October 2021.

In June 2021, Chantal volunteered at Producers Pool where she wrote and produced a short film that will premiere on YouTube Kids. She also worked as an adjunct professor of screenwriting from 2019 till 2021.

Chantal earned her MFA in Film and a BA in English literature/creative Writing from the University of Miami. While in graduate school, she co-founded Duo Tales Studios, where she wrote, produced, and directed three award-winning short films (one animation, two live-action).

When she isn't trying to figure out the next plot point in a story or helping a studio out with their production needs, she enjoys collecting manga, and screaming at the top of her lungs at K-pop and metal concerts.
